NFPA 288 is a test procedure developed for use in evaluating the performance of "floor fire door assemblies" when installed horizontally in fire resistance-rated floor systems. It measures the ability of the floor fire door assembly to remain in the opening and resist the passage of flame and heat with load carrying applications.
